On a regular school day, a college boy meets his existential crisis. He feels he is living under too much oppression, like a pawn in a chess game. He decides to break out of the cage, fight against the oppressors and pursue real freedom.

Director Statement

Moot is inspired by my interest in playing chess. Once when I watched two of my friends playing the chess, I thought what would happen if one of the pieces on the chessboard had freewill and decided not to obey the rules. As I dug deep into this idea, I found the story coming out from this idea would become an interesting “comedic tragedy”.
