Writer Statement

I’d like to introduce to a feature version of my previously successful pilot. I wanted to share a script that shows diversity and how working to achieve a shared vision that would entertain beyond the TV. There are areas where, due to time constraints, the feature leads to totally different directions than the pilot. Please enjoy.

“Arianrhod: A New Beginning” is a unique story that is loosely based on real world events. It was recently awarded Finalist in the renown 2019 Oaxaca FilmFest which boast alumni such as Martin Scorsese, Spike Lee, Robert Di Nero, and Guillermo del Toro (The Shape of Water).

We often hear the question “When will a Marvel all-women film be made?” Yet no one has quite discovered a winning formula… until now.

“Arianrhod: A New Beginning” is a story the world needs to see. It’s about the inclusion, diversity, and a non-stereotypical roles in society where nearly all the men are gone. What’s more is there simply isn’t enough people to manage critical infrastructure which leads to core meltdowns and decay.

In Arianrhod, the leaders skillfully prioritize the needs of their people and the world. The Arianrhodian women take on names from historic women of the past to include real world and mythology from all over the world which define their roles in society. Example, Harriet (after Harriet Tubman) is a logistics chief who runs supply routes through her own underground railroad. At the age of thirteen, young girls may change their destiny at their cotillion-inspired ceremony.

Arianrhod is a futuristic “Game of Thrones” that portrays many cultures around the world in a positive way without political agenda. If in pilot form, it will benefit from a fun diverse writing team, and attract a huge following for years to come.

Imagine if an all female super hero ensemble story looked like this.
