U.S. Documentary: People Power – Stop Texas Bill Targeting Chinese Immigrants | 美国纪录片

Power of the People, a documentary about Chinese Americans in Texas who fought against unjust bills, including SB147, proposed by Texas Senators. The proposed bills attempted to prohibit citizens from China, Russia, North Korea, and Iran from buying real estate and land in Texas. Asian American Leadership Council leader Ms. Ling Luo, Democratic members of congress, and other civil rights groups finally put an end to the proposal by mobilizing many in the Asian and Chinese American communities to call their representatives, march in protests in various Texas cities and testifying in opposition to the bills at public hearings.
