Avrahaam Yaakob, one of the last remaining Indian Jews in the coastal town of Kochi, India cannot resist the desire to become a movie actor. Despite touching 60, he continues to audition for movies, to win a part. Success has eluded him so far.

But, over the years, with every part that he auditions for, he gradually discovers the joy of becoming another character, another human. From that point onwards, for Yaakob, it is no longer about winning a part. His pursuit becomes the raw and pure experience of becoming another human being on the audition floor. He experiences the agony, pain and melancholy of every character that he becomes.

Yaakob slowly realises that, the true purpose of a good actor is to become a good human.

The film accompanies him from his 132nd to the 137th audition.
