Juan Wang is a multi-disciplinary artist who writes and directs narrative films. From Shanghai, China, she has worked in radio and television, and her broad experience in art as a violinist and ballet dancer has inspired her filmmaking. She holds a bachelor’s degree in art from Shanghai University, a fine arts degree from Shanghai Theatre Academy, and now an MFA in filmmaking from the Maryland Institute College of Art.
Director Statement

Music evokes a vision, a way of seeing the tiny things around us. The film is a meditation on the role of music in providing inspiration, but seen from the opposite side, from a musician who uses his observations of people’s everyday interactions to inspire his music.
