Atmaja Bopardikar is an Indian writer and film director. She has worked on several short films, music videos, both in India and the UK. After finishing her post graduation in films from the UK, she briefly worked with an advertising agency in Mumbai before starting out as a independent filmmaker. Her films explore the complexities of the human nature and the intricacies of relationships between people.

Director’s Statement

The idea for Blink, came to me in a rather unexpected moment. I was musing over the idea of working on a thriller and something quite unrelated caught my eye. At the time, I was reading a very interesting article about how your thoughts could shape your reality. And from there came the first draft of the short film BLINK.

I feel we are all just travellers in time who are assigned a specific time on this planet. And like ours, there maybe so many unexplored worlds… parallel worlds. And what would happen if our realities were shifting, if they start colliding with each other? And if they started to bring sense to this chaos, would it make us insane?

Neeraj and Smriti are happily married young couple. But their relationship is rife with tension, especially since Neeraj has started behaving strange. The reality as seen from Smriti’s perspective is very different from that of Neeraj’s. She feels helpless in her struggle to make sense of Neeraj’s strange psychotic behaviour. On the other hand, Neeraj is unable to explain his situation to Smriti; he’s stuck between two worlds
