Young musician Weihao Chen was born in a traditional family renowned for generations of Chao Opera masters, but his true passion is hip hop music. He gets into a fight at his concert out of long suppressed creativity, and then encounters a young woman Malin. Malin ran away from home after a heated argument with her father, and was now chased after by debt collectors. Malin becomes friends with Weihao, and she gradually falls in love with him realizing his music talent. Malin’s father disapproves of this relationship, and schemes against it. Weihao’s mother dies when performing Chao Opera on stage. Her last wish was for Weihao to practice Chao Opera with his heart. Her death awakens Weihao from confusions in life. He finally proves he is not a loser by his actions and music talent.
