“Nureongi” explores the history and culture of dog meat consumption in South Korea and its complex and controversial existence in a modern society. Filmed over the course of two years with extraordinary access, the documentary follows the exploration of a proud Korean-American woman’s search to understand her homeland’s preservation of this tradition and her mission to rescue “meat dogs.”
