Shaun made his producing debut in the short film “Jeff” which was selected to screen at the Cinema Diverse: The Palm Springs Film Festival. He makes his directorial debut in “Richard” the web series. After working in finance for a number of years, Shaun decided to pursue a career in the Arts and enrolled in the MFA Acting program at the A.R.T Institute at Harvard University.

Director Statement

I’m always lost in translation. I was born in China, grew up in the States, and spent a number of years in Tokyo. Everywhere I went, I always had to adapt and as mentioned earlier, always lost in translation: stuck between different languages and different cultures. Being lost in translation created this desire in me to find an outlet, a platform, a stage through which my true emotions and thoughts can be expressed. The platform here is the character “Richard” and by helping him understand who he is and who he wants to be, perhaps I can also help myself achieve the same thing.
