An enthusiastic cinephile who comes from Beijing and lives in Los Angeles. I finished my BFA degree at The Central Academy of Drama in Beijing, China, majored in Film and TV Directing. And I’m studying at the ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, USA, to pursue a Film MFA degree.
I chose to direct this film because I believe the prevalence of alcohol abuse has become a problematic issue in our society. This includes alcoholism among the children of alcoholics. Alcohol abuse destroys people and families. As we were shooting this film on a closed street in downtown Los Angeles, a drunk driver recklessly drove through our set nearly striking cast and crew members. Fortunately, nobody was hurt, but we were once again reminded of the need to address this treatable disease and to support those who struggle with it.
