Graduating in electronics and communication engineering, Abhineet soon left corporate life to pursue filmmaking. Following his shorts being appreciated at a few festivals, “Doors” is Abhineet’s debut feature. He also teaches as Head of Department- Screenwriting and Direction at Fx School: A premier media institute in Mumbai. Apart from cinema, he’s interested in heavy metal music and yoga/martial arts.

Director Statement

The opening shot of leaves floating in water in Andrei Tarkovsky’s “Solyaris” changed the course of my life. But then I also came to love the cinematic chaos of Gaspar Noe. I love most the films that are personal, and I find reality quite magical. I love living, and cinema is my favourite form of communication.
